After a seven-year gap, Nissan brought is Z-car back to the United States in the 2003 model year. This one owner 2003 350Z in Touring trim only has 8,900 actual miles on its odometer. This first year 350Z is ultra low mileage, one original owner since new that is still sold on it’s original 2003 Idaho title, was always serviced at the original selling dealer and comes with all the complete original manuals, brochures, delivery paperwork and original window sticker!
This example was made in November 2002, in Nissan’s factory in Oppama, Japan. Dressed in Brilliant Silver (code KY0), the car’s paint and trim are in overall excellent condition, mirroring its minor mileage. The Xenon headlights are of a four-bulb, high-intensity discharge (HID) There is a 20-gallon fuel tank, a drive-by-wire throttle and fully independent suspension. The bodywork, with a factory air scoop and rear spoiler, is straight and solid, the body-colored bumpers fit tightly with blemishes or dents, there are mudflaps, the engine bay is extremely tidy, the rear cargo area is clean and tidy, offers 6.8-cubic feet, and the car has a new Duracell maintenance-free battery.
This Z-car wears new Sumitomo HTR Z5 tires, 225/45ZR18 in front and 245/45ZR18 in rear. Each tire is mounted on a factory, six-spoke alloy wheel. All of the wheels and tires are in excellent order.
Under the hood is a 3.5L DOHC, 24-valve V-6 engine (code VQ35DE) with sequential multi-point fuel injection, variable valve timing (CVTCS) and dual exhausts. Backing this motor is a close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission (code FS6R31A), a carbon fiber driveshaft, a viscous limited-slip differential and a 3.54:1 rear end. This Z has plenty of creature comforts – electronic climate control; cruise control; speed sensitive, power rack-and-pinion steering; power and vented four-wheel disc brakes; tilt steering column; power windows; power locks; and power and heated sideview mirrors. There are also a rear window defroster, rear wiper and rear washer.
Safety equipment on this car includes – dual-stage front airbags, side airbags with inflatable side curtains, traction control and four-wheel vented disc brakes with anti-lock and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.
Inside the Z still smells brand new, the car’s Charcoal (code G) leather interior is in overall excellent order, again reflecting its low mileage. The black, four-way power driver’s seat and two-way power passenger seat look great, as does the complementing carpet and a gray headliner. The thick, three-spoke steering wheel is trimmed in leather, as is the shift knob. The pedals wear aluminum covers. The interior design has brushed aluminum accents. The main gauge pod is mounted directly to the steering column allowing its movement to coincide with steering wheel adjustments. Additional gauges are mounted in a center triple gauge cluster (similar to the 240Z/260Z/280Z). The 350Z’s interior does not have a conventional glove box but has storage compartments located behind and between the two seats. A premium Bose audio system includes an AM/FM stereo, cassette deck, six-disc CD changer, seven speakers and 240 watts and completes the interior.
Competition to this Nissan in 2003 includes Acura’s NSX, Audi’s TT Coupe, Chevrolet’s Corvette, Infiniti’s G35 Coupe, Mazda’s RX-8 and Porsche’s 911 Carrera 4S.
Z-car fans, you should make it a priority to stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars to check out this one owner Z33 coupe, as should anyone else who appreciates a modern, two-door sports coupe replete with modern conveniences and less than 9,000 actual miles on the clock.
